Rental & safety terms

1. Eligibility and booking

• The renter must be at least 18 years old, provide accurate contact and site information and have authority to approve equipment setup at the venue.
• An enquiry or quote does not reserve equipment. A rental is confirmed only after Weekendaz issues written confirmation and receives any required retainer or payment.
• The quote will state the rental period, delivery terms, payment schedule, refundable damage deposit if applicable, included items and approved event location. Standard delivery is free only in Kingston, St. Andrew and St. Catherine; an additional delivery charge applies to every other parish and will be confirmed before booking.
• Equipment, package contents and pricing are subject to availability until written confirmation is issued.

2. Site access and setup

• The renter must provide a level, clean setup area with adequate clearance from buildings, fences, branches, roads, pools, heat sources, sharp objects and overhead electrical lines.
• The renter must identify underground utilities, irrigation, septic systems and other hidden hazards before staking. The renter is responsible for loss caused by inaccurate or missing site information.
• A suitable 110V electrical outlet must be available within 50 feet unless Weekendaz approves a different power arrangement in writing. Connections must remain dry and undisturbed.
• Only Weekendaz personnel may position, anchor, connect, move, adjust, deflate or remove an inflatable, blower or related safety equipment.
• Weekendaz may refuse or change a setup if access, ground, clearance, weather, power or another condition is unsafe.

3. Blower-only rentals

• A standalone blower rental does not include an inflatable, anchoring, setup, an attendant or a certification that the renter’s inflatable is safe.
• Before confirmation, the renter must provide clear photos of the inflatable’s manufacturer label, air inlet and blower tube and disclose any stated airflow, pressure and electrical requirements. A 1.5 HP rating alone does not establish compatibility.
• The renter must not connect the blower to a damaged, leaking, modified, unlabeled or incompatible inflatable. Weekendaz may refuse or stop use whenever compatibility or condition cannot be confirmed.
• The blower must sit upright on a dry, stable surface with the intake unobstructed. The power switch, plug and cord must remain dry, protected from guests and connected only to an approved electrical supply.
• The blower must run continuously while an inflatable is occupied. If airflow changes, pressure drops, the unit shifts or any connection loosens, remove all users immediately and do not restart until the complete setup has been checked.
• The renter remains responsible for correct anchoring, safe site conditions, continuous adult supervision, weather monitoring and compliance with the inflatable manufacturer’s instructions.

4. Occupancy and user separation

• The safe number of simultaneous users will be stated in the rental agreement and explained during setup. It must never be exceeded.
• The renter and supervisor must prevent overcrowding and pause entry until space is available.
• Users must be separated into groups of similar age, height, size and ability. Toddlers must never bounce with substantially larger children.
• The inflatables are for children only unless Weekendaz gives written approval for a unit specifically rated for adults.

5. Continuous supervision

• At least one responsible adult aged 18 or older must actively watch the entrance, user count and activity at all times. More than one supervisor may be required for a large event or multiple attractions.
• The supervisor must immediately stop rough play, overcrowding, unsafe use or any activity that conflicts with these rules or the posted warnings.
• Unless a trained attendant is specifically listed in the quote, supervision is the renter’s responsibility. General event supervision from another area is not sufficient.
• The inflatable must be emptied and secured against entry whenever the supervisor steps away.

6. Weather and wind

• Outdoor use is prohibited during rain, lightning, thunder, flooding, unsafe heat, wet or unstable ground or any condition that affects safe anchoring or traction.
• Operation must stop, users must exit and the unit must be deflated when measured wind or gusts reach 15 mph (24 km/h), or at any lower limit stated by the manufacturer.
• Wind must be checked at the site with an anemometer; a phone weather application is not a substitute for local measurement.
• Weekendaz may delay setup, suspend use, cancel or collect equipment when conditions are unsafe. The weather rescheduling or cancellation treatment stated in the written quote will apply.

7. Rules while using an inflatable

• Remove shoes, glasses, jewellery, keys and sharp objects. Empty all pockets before entry.
• No food, drinks, gum, pets, toys, confetti, face paint, silly string, streamers or other foreign objects are permitted inside or on the inflatable.
• No flips, wrestling, piling on, pushing, fighting, climbing or hanging on walls, nets or roof sections.
• No person who is ill, injured, intoxicated or unable to use the equipment safely may enter.
• Users must enter and exit through the designated opening and keep the entrance, slide landing and blower area clear.
• Stop use immediately if the unit loses pressure, becomes misshapen, shifts, an anchor loosens, a cord becomes wet or damaged, or any person has a safety concern.

8. Equipment care, damage and cleaning

The renter must protect all equipment from misuse, theft, pets, smoke, fire, unauthorised movement and prohibited substances. The renter may be charged for missing items, damage, repairs, abnormal cleaning, late return or replacement caused by the renter, guests, vendors or unsafe site information, except for ordinary wear or a defect not caused by the renter.

A refundable deposit, where required, is not a limit on responsibility for losses exceeding the deposit.

9. Food-service equipment

• The hot-dog roller grill, heated patty display and rice cooker must be placed on a stable, dry, heat-safe surface and used only by a responsible adult.
• Food, ingredients, serving supplies and fuel are not included unless the quote says otherwise.
• The renter is responsible for safe food handling, temperature control, allergens, sanitation and compliance with any event or public-health requirements.
• The Infernus INFW-60 patty display is a warming and holding appliance, not a cooker. It requires an approved 220–240V supply suitable for its 1.84kW rating; improvised adapters and unapproved extension leads are prohibited.
• The Buffalo CN324 rice cooker holds up to 4.2L of dry rice and requires a suitable approved 220–240V supply for its 1.55kW rating. Keep clear of steam, do not overfill and do not open or move the unit while it is hot unless the operating instructions allow it.
• Chafing dishes are for holding properly cooked food, not cooking raw food. Use the correct water pan, food pan, lid and approved fuel holder; never light fuel without water in the pan or leave an open flame unattended.
• Keep chafer flames and hot metal away from children, guests, decorations, table coverings and other combustibles. Only a responsible adult may light, refuel, extinguish or handle the unit, and hot fuel must never be moved or refilled.
• Equipment must not be left unattended while powered or hot and must cool before cleaning, moving or collection.

10. Arcade machine use

• Only Weekendaz personnel may transport, position, level, connect, open, adjust or move the arcade cabinet.
• The renter must provide a dry, sheltered, level hard surface with safe access and a suitable approved electrical outlet. Outdoor exposure, wet hands, drinks on the cabinet and blocked ventilation are prohibited.
• No one may climb, sit, lean heavily, rock, strike or pull on the cabinet, controls, screen, coin doors, access panels, cable or plug. Children must be supervised by a responsible adult.
• The cabinet provides two built-in player control stations. References to games with up to six-player modes do not guarantee six simultaneous players; the selected title and approved controller setup determine actual play.
• The game catalogue may change, and a specific title, save file, network feature, account or controller configuration is not guaranteed unless it is confirmed in the written quote.
• Stop use, keep guests away and contact Weekendaz if the cabinet becomes unstable, overheats, loses power, shows a damaged cable or behaves unusually.

11. Assumption of risk and responsibility

The renter understands that inflatable play and party equipment involve inherent risks, including falls, collisions, burns, electric shock and weather-related hazards. To the fullest extent permitted by Jamaican law, the renter accepts responsibility for the event site, supervision and compliance by the renter’s guests and vendors.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the renter agrees to reimburse, defend and indemnify Weekendaz Rentals against third-party claims, damage, fines and reasonable costs arising from the renter’s breach, guest misuse, unauthorised movement, inadequate supervision or undisclosed site hazards. Nothing in these terms excludes liability, duties or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

12. Injuries and incidents

Stop use immediately after an injury, equipment failure or near miss. Provide appropriate first aid, call emergency services where needed, preserve the scene and notify Weekendaz promptly. Do not restart equipment until Weekendaz confirms it is safe.

13. Permits, venue rules and insurance

The renter is responsible for venue approval, public-event permits, noise or occupancy permissions and event insurance that may be required. Weekendaz’s equipment insurance, if any, does not automatically insure the renter, venue, event organiser or guests.

14. Safety basis and legal review

These operating rules reflect widely used inflatable-safety principles, including manufacturer limits, secure anchoring, active adult supervision, local wind measurement and separation of users by size. Website terms and waivers cannot guarantee protection from a claim. Weekendaz should have a Jamaican attorney review the final rental agreement, waiver, deposit, cancellation and insurance wording before accepting bookings.
